Our V.I.P. Featured Guest Gaby Orta was born in México and came to the United States of America 19 years ago. She lived in Chicago for 13 years and in 2015 she came to Texas to visit family and never went back. She’s had a variety of jobs: waitress, clerk, cashier, customer service, visual merchandiser, housekeeping…yet since she was a little girl her dream was become a beauty artist and work with models like the ones she saw in magazines while working at her jobs. Her desire it that every client that sits in her chair to feels good, confident, happy and beautiful as she loves to enhance their own natural beauty. She is an independent Makeup and Hair artist, mom of two handsome boys, 13 and 5 years old and has been married for almost 20 years!

Resourceful: Gaby knew what she dreamed to do; she had always wanted to be a makeup artist. She shares her story about how she went from dreaming to be a makeup artist and seeing all the cover girls and models in magazines or online to a mentor, Leslie that gave her the opportunity to join in makeup classes. She was resourceful with asking for help, seeking mentors and ways to bring her dream to life.
Garage Sale Find: Gaby shares the story of the Garage Sale find, the makeup bag that her sister gave her years and years ago that Gaby has to this day. The makeup bag was more that old, used makeup, it was a gift from her sister signifying the belief in Gaby and her support for her to pursue her dream. Tune in for the story! Gaby talks about the timing of the gift and how she was able to act on and pursue her dream to make it a reality.
Priorities: She shares about the various and amazing opportunities that she has earned throughout her career but with some of those exceptional opportunities she has said no. Gaby stays true to her family and says her children are her top priority. So, her hours and client appointments are centered about making sure that she is home for her children before and after school. She makes time to get some exercise in and whatever she needs to between 9am and 2pm.
