Our V.I.P. Featured Guest Shelby Whitfield has been trained by one of Dallas-Fort Worth’s premier interior designers and has earned her own Interior Design degree. She’s worked on renovation projects in the most prestigious estate home communities such as Preston Hollow, Park Cites, Westover Hills in addition to vacation homes
across the country. She has been featured in Architectural Digest Pro and Voyage Dallas. She is the Owner and Principal Designer of Modern Menagerie, a full-service interior design firm based in Fort Worth Texas and serving the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and beyond.

Significance: Shelby’s enjoyed and has been inspired by a variety of architecture, elements, and cultured travel and an abundance of aesthetics throughout her Silhouettes of Success journey. She talks about the significance in which the environment and exposure helped influence her decision and path into design. She shares how her days are varied and support her creativity. Nature, patterns, movement, textures are all parts of the details of the world that inspire Shelby.
Intentional: Shelby shares with us the early days of launching her business Modern Menagerie. It was just prior to the pandemic which as anticipated presented challenges that she approached with intentionality. She talks about her business model, the problems-opportunities she needed to address and resolve as she set forth in creating a successful business and her growth. Her journey of launching the business is awesome!
Reflection: She talks us through many elements of her journey where she has thoughtfully reviewed the details, plans, hands on collaboration or problem solved with successful results. In addition, self-reflection is a common thread in her success toolbox. When asked about the greatest sense of satisfaction…right after install day! The validation and feedback from her clients, very rewarding!
