How do you invest in yourself? Where do you invest your valuable time, energy, and coin? There is a common golden tread with many of our Silhouettes of Success stories and that is coaching. Super Stars, Musicians, Industry Leaders, Artists and Creatives, Professional Athletes, Entrepreneurs, C-Suite and alike…even Coaches have Coaches…so how about you? Someone once asked me “why do you have a Coach when you are so successful?”. The plot twist, this individual is a Coach, well a recreational coach but still a cacho, and also an athlete their entire life.. Head scratcher, right? Stay with me, I will elaborate. In my real estate segment, their observations of my success (three cheers for me!) meant, in their eyes that I knew enough, I had reached a certain pinnacle-game over. Yet, what they didn’t realize is, I wouldn’t be at that point without making the commitment to invest and be active in my coaching.
I shared my standard reply of “well, all who excel such as professional athletes have coaches, so I do too!”. Yes, I have a standard reply because it’s curious of how many people really do ask this question. Why? Is it the money or price tag? Is it an ego-based objection? Is it fear of making a commitment to success? Could it be a concern of being held accountable?
Eva in her Episode 89 talked about her personal growth and successful experiences with coaching. And as I mentioned, there are several Silhouettes who are avid fans of coaching as they attest to the significant, sometimes bit-by-bit but a tangible boost and supports their goal and dreams towards success. No matter the excuse, rather objection…I have a counter point for each and only because I was once in their shoes! I get it, I know and understand all the points of objections. Ah, but that’s when I shine and shine brightly to help connect the dots as we begin to get real and talk about their goals, dreams, and ultimate desires for personal success.
The world is vast with a multitude of coaches, programs, mentors with a plethora of platforms in which to participate. There are specialty, unique or boilerplate fundamental options at every price point meeting you where you are now and helping support you to where you want to be. I will shake the pompoms and shout the chants to encourage you to invest in yourself, invest in your success, invest in your growth.
