Have you ever met a stranger that absolutely pulled you into their world because they have an innate warm, authentic and kind spirit? Have you ever walked into a room or event not knowing anyone or new to an organization and someone greets you with a smile, kind eyes who makes you feel like you they have known you for years? Please allow me to introduce, Bliss Coulter our most recent Silhouette of Success! She greets you with “Hello Friend!” and means it. In Bliss’s Episode 43, she talks to us about the importance of strong relationships, her good friends and family support systems. She understands the value of nurturing relationships, deepening bonds, intentionally working to strengthen and foster the connection. I also found it remarkable that she also used the word “connection” when she shared with us her passion for riding her horses…she loved the “connection” with her horse (and of the speed and competitiveness!). This just illustrates perfectly my reflection for this Sorority Session, her intrinsic attribute of welcoming you into the fold-“Hello Friend”! We need to go deeper into this though, has a genuine ability but desire to bring you in, lend support towards success. Listen to her Episode 43 again, it truly is the bold, graceful outline of her Silhouette of Success. Her desire to uplift, promote and see you succeed is a purposeful life mission her Bliss. So, the next time you are in a position to be in this role for someone else, let’s try it out…smile, make eye contact and reach out to welcome them. Pass on your light. They may be nervous, intimidated, fearful but had just enough courage to walk through the door…be the one to say “Hello Friend!”.
