CONVERSATION HIGHLIGHTS

ACHIEVE: She skipped the First Grade, very neat…and only 3 years of High School…holy moly-that’s an achievement, tell us more! Lynn talks about creating her own path, her own trajectory from school age to today. She shares that her parents were great role models in showing her it’s okay to make the change of roles/jobs if you are not happy…it’s okay. Permission granted. She recalls thinking as a young girl that her dream job might be in either Advertising or Roller Derby! Clearly Lynn has a competitive streak in her that has served her well. She talks about in making the transitions she recognizes that there is probably an adjustment period, may have to start over, it could come with some pains but ultimately worth doing rather than being stuck where you don’t want to be. Living in New York City she talks about the inspiration all around her; for her fresh air, meditation and some exercise unlocks the barriers to get unstuck.

IT’S CASUAL: Activity a motion, get your mind unstuck by moving. When talking about getting unstuck, she offers tips such as time blocking manageable chunks or thinking of a goal that’s bigger than the action that you have to do to reach it. She elaborates with an example that’s on point! Work load, reports, piles, tasks, goals…on happy positive movement at a time-even during the most laborious tasks. Life balance is something that Lynn has works on with implementing into her life, with successful results. The boundaries, time management and maintaining disciplines allow her the time, energy and presence to be productive and successful. Lynn points out something she has learned to do, or not to do from a trusted friend that she collaborates with, and that is-she tries not to talk to family about work. It can be helpful if they are in the same industry, but the flip side is she explains she has two reasons on why she believes in this and both are super! Great advice!

AT YOUR SERVICE: Partnership for Sole Proprietorship was her most challenging professional shift…her story is profound. She used the word “fractured” and it caught my attention quickly and as she talks through her journey of the experience, it was so impressive on how she grew from the journey. Let myself grow to the next level. She is a pleasure-she lives handing off the finished product to a happy client. Making her clients happy, makes her happy! Solving creates energy. She shares how she once was a bit rebellious as a young girl, this portion of her story is very relatable as Lynn talks though discovering “playing the game” …literally a great tip for us all. Connect, smile and let me help make you happy! Being in the service business, it teaches you both the skills and the ability to want to be a pleasure and receive the gratification of your well-done job gives the satisfaction. When she is uncomfortable pushing herself to do things, she might not want to do but the rewards from being brave (not to be confused with confidence), Lynn says she has found to be infinitely rewarding!

INTENTIONAL INSPIRATION

Being brave is being afraid of something and doing it anyway!
